And thanks too to the Wayside Chapel, and Diana Stojanovich, and Andy Perceval
First guests arrive and we tell stories about Nadine who had a real presence on the night -

Tom at the Mission
Tom outside the hall having a smoke and a chat with his cup of tea after lunch. The Jordan cafe at the Mission is a free cafe providing food and services/referrals, and a place to socialise, for the poor and marginalised with Pastor Brian and now Sam Stamos.
Over the years (in lieu of Work for the Dole)I've painted a Newtown last supper in the hall and accompanying murals to memorialise and honour the people of the Mission from both sides of the counter, including Tom. There is also an Australiana billabong scene - everyone's spirit animals and plants - at the other end of the hall that I've been painting with the wonderful Grace Woods , as well as a big fig tree in the waiting room - like a tree of knowledge. It's all on the Newtown Last Supper blog including the Last Supper, and the Australiana billabong,
Balsa Eagle
The mascot of the show - it's made from all the little wooden triangles that come with canvases to keep prestretched canvas taut - I still have more
